Man’s Best
Friend “Happy Tails Training Program” trains through positive reinforcement.
Classes are given by a certified dog trainer and Association of Pet Dog Trainers
(APDT) member. Owners are trained on how to reinforce the training with their
pets. Man’s Best Friend offers group classes in basic obedience and canine good
citizenship as well as Board & Train, In-Home Training, and Problem Solving.
Basic Obedience -
Pets and their owners are
trained the basic commands of controlled walking (heeling), sit, sit stay, down,
down stay, wait, and recall.
Canine Good Citizenship –
Preparatory class for the AKC
Canine Good Citizenship exam. Pets are trained to be “good citizens” allowing
them to be comfortable with unfamiliar distractions and loud noises. This
training will allow your pet to be in control in many situations including going
to the vets, parks, nursing homes, and while traveling.
