The owner of Man's Best Friend Kennel received her accreditation from the Arizona Canine Academy in 2002. Her "Happy Tails" training program was successful in assisting the Humane Society of Calvert County, Maryland in adopting out many dogs that would not have been able to be adopted without proper training.

Owners are trained on how to train their pets. All training is through positive reinforcement - treats, praise and love.

Man’s Best Friend Board & Training Basic Obedience Program includes successful completion of the following commands:

  Sit - Sit Stay (3-5 minutes) - Down - Down Stay (3-5 minutes) - Walking on a controlled Leash

Wait - Introduction to Recall

Training includes 5 nights of boarding (extra nights at reduced rate), 2 training sessions per day,

3 follow-up in-home training, and crate-training, if required
